Social Commitment:

SLD conducts free health camps at regular intervals and allows substantial discounts for investigations prescribed therein. In addition, SLD offers hefty discounts for poor patients and patients referred by Old Age Homes and Voluntary Organizations engaged in social service.

SLD also sponsors and runs a Charitable Trust under the name ‘Sri Lakshmi Polapragada Charitable Trust’ since 2000. This trust runs four hostels for the poor students who cannot afford to live in -the city and pursue their studies. There are about 50 students in the four hostels at Eswarpur, BHEL, Ramachandrapuram, Lungerhouse and Jeedimetla. Over 150 students have passedout in the last 15 years and most of them are placed in MNCs and government sectors.

Apart from hostels, SLD also sponsors and runs an oldage home at Nallakunta under the name ‘Lakshmi Seva Sadan’ catering to the needs of old abandoned senior citizens.
